[Thailand Activities]
[ Check out the Maryland activity calendar! ]

Following are sample of activities that we do in Maryland. You can see the schedule of events in our calendar page. If you are interested in joining or event leading any of these activities, please contact us at info@ OnrRipple.org.

Shelter & Soup kitchen Meals

We serve meals at various shelters and soup kitchens, and the location and scope changes depending on the number of volunteers.

We can meet to make the meals to deliver them to various missions and shelters, or we can actually serve the meals ourselves. Last time we served meals at a Salvation Army facility, the children did most of the work; from making the table, 'assembling' the sandwiches, to serving the food...who said children have to be in "child-care" while the adults do 'ministry'!

Time For A Break ? [Serving mothers in crisis pregnancy]

We served the residents of the Gabriel House (shelter for those in at-risk pregnancy) a delicious brunch prepared by volunteers, along with gift baskets full of goodies. Gabriel Network is a pregnancy support network that provides practical, emotional, and spiritual assistance to women and families facing crisis pregnancies.

Tentmaking Seminars -Integrating Faith and Life-

Who are Tentmakers? Tentmakers are missions-motivated Christians who support themselves in secular work, yet do full-time, cross-cultural evangelism on the job and elsewhere.

One Ripple Ministries believe that Tentmaking is the best way to spread the great news of hope and salvation of Jesus Christ, and work together with Global Opportunities to educate Christians about Tentmaking. Learn more about Tentmaking and fishing evangelism through Global Opportunities's frequently asked questions page.

Slavery : Human Trafficking and Trading

There is a myth in modern day culture that slavery is done and over. Unfortunately, it is indeed a myth, and slavery remain at large in form of human trafficking and trading. Slavery remains to be all about economics and lack of value towards human life, and it is not about developed or undeveloped country. Slavery still exists in the United States, which is the 2nd more popular destination for trafficked women.

Members of One Ripple Ministries work with other local and national organization to raise awareness of human trafficking, along with educating others on how to combat modern day slavery.

Message in a Bottle

This is a fund raising activity for raising awareness for the "soon to be born". The fund raised will be donated to Birthright International. Birthright provides caring, non-judgmental support to girls and women who are distressed by an unplanned pregnancy, providing friendship and emotional support, free pregnancy testing, and maternity and baby clothes.

We will be passing out baby bottles in the area and asking to take it home and put the day-to-day loose change in the bottle. We will then collect the bottles and donate to Birthright International.
