Bad Monkey! Baaad Monkey!!!
Well, while we wait for the Thai consulate to go through our documents, we had some time to wonder around Pulau Pinang. After asking the Taxi driver for a cheap hang out that is kids friendly, we decided to visit Bukit Bendera (Flag Hill in Malay).

So we started to clime up the 2450 ft hill.... or a mountain with 2 kids on our back.

Ok, so we cheated and took the train up the hill... actually that's the only means to go up for tourists.

The view from the top of the hill was just wonderful. It was overcast, so we could not see too far away, but it was still beautiful.

We got to see some wild animals as well... after being in Thailand, our new belief is that we like the wild in the wild and we don't really care to cross over to where they live... but here it is again. This time, a monkey. This monkey seem to be used to seeing people, and decided to come to about 2 ft away from us... while showing off it's nice fangs.... yeah, nice.

By they way, I have never seen so many big, well built European man running that fast as when they saw the monkey...

Cheers - Sergio

Malaysia Visit
Well, first of all I wanted to apologize for not updating our blog as frequently as I wanted to. We moved to our new place but we have been busy cleaning the house and didn't have time to investigate if we can even have an Internet connection. Hopefully we can figure it out by the end of next week.

We are now visiting Malaysia to take care of some immigration papers to go back to Thailand [and hopefully we can go back to our place]. I never thought in my life that we will be in Malaysia. We are staying in the middle of a China Town (a lot of back packers)... which again, something I never thought I would do... It's actually a lot of fun.

There is a lot to post on the blog... I have a lot of back-logs... but I just wanted to start from some pictures from Malaysia.

The neighborhood and the local eatery

The Mosque near by.. There are a lot of Mosques and Hindu temples in this area

Just a quick note from our village
We have had really poor internet connectivity in the past few weeks... sorry for the lack of communication. We wanted to let you know that we have moved in to a village in central Thailand. I don't know how many people live here.. although it is middle of nowhere, the village itself is pretty large. Our house is ~12ft x ~28ft and no doubt the biggest place we have had in the past several months. It actually has a 2nd floor and I'm sure our children will be excited to have some space to run.

As many of you know, we are home schooling our children. I was listening in to one of the conversation between Angela and my daughter the other day, which was about living condition around year 1500 (history class). One of the question that the text book asked was "Can you imaging living in just one room with all of your family?"... my daughter paused, looked at Angela and said "Don't we do that now?"...

Yup.... we do... lol...

By the way, we will be going to Malaysia in several days to do some immigration work and perhaps visit other children's home in Southern Thailand. Please pray for our safe travel.

Cheers! - Sergio
