One Ripple in Thailand

The Beginning: [Posted on August 2007] We are very excited that we are taking what we do here in the U.S. to northern Thailand. We are planning to work in (or near) the area referred as the ‘Golden Triangle’. The term ‘Golden Triangle’ typically refers to one of Asia’s two main illicit opium-producing areas, overlapping the mountains of Myanmar (Burma), Laos, and Thailand. |

As in the U.S., our goal is to support, befriend and share the gifts that we have received with children and your mothers in need; through education, outreach, worship, meals and counseling. We are hoping to be able to work closely with orphanages, such as The River of Life Children's home.
[Blog Article - Meals] [Blog Article - Shopping] The beginning of our adventure came as a small still voice in our heart to go and serve in Thailand. Although we had little to no connections in Thailand, all we had to do was to obey what was in our heart. This experience helped us look back to our society in the U.S., including the problem of human trafficking and gave us renewed vision on what we ought to do in the U.S. |
