-The Beginning-

We first learned about the Thailand Missions on 'Janet Parshall's America',
a national radio talk show. After being inspired by the interview, Angela sent an
eMail to Debbie Wheeler... which put this adventure in motion. We soon visited the
orphanage in Thailand and felt the strong calling to get involved in children's
ministry here in Thailand. |

We are planning to leave the U.S. sometime in the Fall of 2007. Although we are sure
we are called to serve in Thailand, we are not sure why. We are planning to serve at
the River of Life Children's home for 1 year, and figure out the answer
to that question... We are also praying that in that year, we will learn how we can fully
use the gifts that we have received.
We are in the process of trying to figure out what we will do with Nana, our business/job, finance, house
and the stuff in the house... Please keep us in your prayers.

and completely agree with the concept of native missionaries. We believe that native missionaries
are extremely effective; familiar with the language, culture, and they live at the level of the people they serve,
thus removing many social barriers...
SO WHY US!? If you are supporting our work, I hope
you have thought about that question...
We believe we have been given a gift... We have been given a gift of education uncommon
to a lot of local missionaries. Our core desire is to touch the lives of children,
pass on what ever skill we have to them, so they will become a leader...
a person of influence in the country and in the region with Christ in their core. |
